DRAMATIC & OTHERWORLDLY

Skye is a truly magical place. The Isle of Skye, named ‘cloud island’ in Old Norse, is the second-largest of Scotland’s islands, undoubtedly it's home to some of Scotland's most iconic landscapes. A jumbled mess of mysterious moors, jagged mountain peaks, deep lochs, dramatic coastline, and captivating history that has drawn tourists in for centuries — and today makes it Scotland’s most prominent tourist destination after Edinburgh and Loch Ness! With its otherworldly scenery, the island has countless ways to enchant you. Come prepared for changeable weather: when it’s fine it’s very fine indeed, but all too often it isn’t. Bring your sense of adventure!

EDINBURGH

THE OLD SMOKEY

Edinburgh’s beauty is both staggering and stunning - but the city is far more than just a pretty face. Edinburgh is one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, draped across a series of rocky hills overlooking the sea. It’s a town intimately entwined with its landscape, with buildings and monuments perched atop crags and overshadowed by cliffs. From the Old Town’s picturesque jumble of medieval tenements piled high along the Royal Mile to the New Town’s neat grid of neoclassical respectability, the city offers a constantly changing perspective. Furthermore, Edinburgh Castle which sets in the heart of Scotland’s capital city is one of the most exciting historic sites in Western Europe. It is sure to capture your imagination and the scenery will take your breath away. Like a favourite book, Edinburgh is a city you’ll want to dip into again and again, savouring each time a different experience.

INVERNESS

CAPITAL OF THE HIGHLANDS

Inverness sits on Scotland’s northeast coast, where the River Ness meets the Moray Firth. This vibrant city offers all the wonders of the Highlands on its doorstep. Experience true Outlander Highland natural landscapes, quaint towns, medieval ruins, prehistoric sites, iconic castles, and unique wildlife, including the famous Loch Ness monster! View this compact city from the top of Inverness Castle, marvel at the stunning St Andrew’s Cathedral or take a relaxing stroll along the banks of the River Ness. Exploring the city centre for Victorian-era marketplaces, cathedrals, and museums. Inverness also houses some of Scotland’s top whisky distilleries, where you can learn about the process of making this Scottish tipple while sampling some single malts. Finish the day at a lively Scottish pub with some traditional music and a wee dram of whisky. Inverness really has it all for a memorable holiday.

LOCH NESS

ENCOUNTER WITH NESSIE

This corner of the Highlands is world-famous for its dramatic scenery, great adventure sports and nearby castles and solitary lighthouses dotting the landscape. However, this beautiful loch located near Inverness is shrouded in mystery. Tales of a large monster living deep beneath the dark expanses of Loch Ness have circulated the world since the first photograph emerged in 1933. Known around the world as Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster is described as large, long-necked and with one or more humps protruding from the water. With over 1,000 eye-witness accounts, sightings and unexplained evidence, scientists continue to be baffled by the existence of Nessie. See for yourself on a boat trip and Nessie cruise from Inverness!
