The day starts off with a classic Norwegian Breakfast before setting out on an arctic voyage on the Hurtigruten. The drive from Honningsvag is a thrilling experience as you watch the skilled drivers following the snow plough, going through a pristine polar landscape that gets even more stunning as you approach the North Cape. It’s hard to believe you’re in the same world as you step down the coach to the blinding, white scenery in the freezing cold, you’ll agree that there isn’t winter as frosty as this one. At the northernmost point of the world, looking out on the plateau to where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Arctic Ocean is a rewarding achievement.

Visiting a Sami home is one way to get closer to the life of indigenous people. As your sleigh gets pulled by the reindeers through the snowy forest, feel a spiritual connection to the land of winter wilderness.
