  ST MORITZ
LUXURY ALPINE RESORT TOWN
Surrounded by Alps peaks towering 3,000m or more, the town of St. Moritz has a population of 5,000 and is one of the world’s richest places. Sprawled across a sunny mountainside with spectacular views of the Engadine valley, St. Moritz is not very pretty to look at, but it is the most fantastic place to stay in and look out from. The majority of the population here is German-speaking, but there is also a significant Italian population due to its proximity to the Italian border. Visitors can indulge in the pleasures of nature, culture, and sports or one can simply relax while admiring the beautiful scenery around. St. Moritz has twice hosted the Winter Olympics (1928 and 1948), and skiing conditions are great from Christmas until late April. It also hosted numerous bobsledding and ski world cups.
  CHUR
CHARMING OLDEST CITY
Chur is the oldest city in Switzerland with over 5,000 years of history. This alpine city is surrounded by mountainous escapes, with a wide range of cultural and gastronomic offerings. Numerous boutiques, restaurants, bars, museums and galleries create an almost Mediterranean flair in its entirely car-free old town. To discover more about Chur's past enter the Old Town with its many historic buildings. Tour the 800-year-old Romanesque Cathedral of St. Mary’s Ascension and the 15th-century St. Martin’s Church. As the hub of the Rhaetian Railway, famous holiday resorts such as Davos, St. Moritz and Arosa are accessible from Chur, as are the world-famous panoramic routes of the Glacier Express and Bernina Express.
  LUCERNE
GATEWAY TO CENTRAL SWITZERLAND
Sited on Lake Lucerne, Lucerne is embedded within an impressive mountainous panorama. The city of Lucerne is well known for its stunning medieval architecture. There’s also plenty to occupy you in the city, on the historic streets of the traffic-free Old Town, where medieval guildhalls have frescoes on their facades. Complete with gable paintings, the covered, medieval Chapel Bridge forms the centrepiece of Lucerne’s townscape and is considered to be one of the oldest, covered wooden bridges in Europe. The figure of a dying lion which was hewn from the face of rock in remembrance of the heroic death of Swiss guards killed during an attack on the Tuileries in 1792 is one of the best-known monuments in Switzerland. Whether you come to experience the medieval charm of Lucerne’s Old Town and the Chapel Bridge or to admire the picturesque surroundings of the city, you won’t be disappointed.
